I've always been fascinated by the way a few carefully chosen words can carry as much emotion as an entire chapter. A lyric has to say everything while leaving room for the music to breathe.
I write original lyrics for professional recording projects, collaborating with artists, composers and producers to create songs that are emotionally honest and true to the music they're written for.
Although my work has centred on jazz, jazz-rock and blues, every collaboration begins in exactly the same way as every article and every book—with a story waiting to be told.
